I have a 1970 LT1 350/350 camshaft and am trying to confirm that it uses hydraulic lifters.

Should be a -178 cam b/c the 370hp/350 used the 30-30 cam, (-346).

The -178 was the LT-1 350/370 Vette and Camaro solid lifter cam for 1970 and maybe 71 but 71 was a different HP rating.

The -962 was the 1969 350/350 Vette hydraulic lifter cam. That one was also used later in the L-82 Vette engines and mid 70's Z/28.

The -346 cam was the "30-30" and it was solid lifters for early 60's 327 SHP Vettes and the first gen 302 Z/28.

I hope I got that all right

Let me clarify that, the 30-30 cam was installed in the mule motor that GM got the 370hp rating with!!

To my knowledge, the 30-30 cam wasn't installed in the LT1's that were for sale to the public b/c they went with the -178 cam b/c they put an automatic behind the motor..
