Electric choke hot wire

What would be a good, close by, hot wire for the choke on my qjet. I put it on 3-4 yrs ago and never hooked it up. It cranks with just a couple of pumps on the accelerator but won't idle properly for 3 or 4 minutes til the engine gets a little heat in it. Thanks.

Re: Electric choke hot wire

Does the choke need a full 12v to operate? If so, run a 10 amp ,in line fused wire, from IGN spade on your

Fuse block to your positive terminal of choke connection.
