Exclamation FINAZING LS3/Magnum swap: couple questions!

I was really initially trying to buy specific AC delco components : PS pump, alternator, water pump and then keep my current AC compressor . I have a bracket that fits my compressor on the LS engine and was told that I can simply buy other components for a 2002 or so corvette and use the serpentine system off of one of those. but I'm struggling finding those components as many are refurbished rather than new and nice looking.

With the holley serpentine systems that have been suggested: Holley 20-137 (with compressor SD508) or Holley 20-138 (with compressor SD7) I am wondering if these are 'tight' enough to fit without hitting the PS on the control arm and anywhere near the AC box on the firewall? Can I just place this whole serpentine system on with no fitmet problems on a 69 Camaro with factory AC (not vintage air)?

Oh and would I ever need a new harmonic balancer vs the stock one since the crate ls3 is internally balanced?

Holley system was designed to clear factory AC. It does not hit the control arms or anything else. You have to use their mounts and headers.

With the Holley system the compressor is mounted forward of the head on the pass side so will easily clear factory ac box. PS the control arm will also clear. I've used the Dirty Dingo sliders and both Hooker and Dynatech headers with no clearance issues.

Curious why you chose not to use the Holley mounts and headers. Did you use the Holley 302-2 oil pan? Holley claims excellent header to ground clearance. Do the Dynatechs fit tight to the floor too? Do they cost less? Could you post the part number.

Were the Hooker headers you used the Holley Blackheart headers specified to work with their mounts? Or did you use the earlier version of their headers. Could you please post the part number.

Thanks
Don

I was just saying if the OP had different mounts and or headers the Holley front drive would still work ok.

Cars were built before Holley came out with their mounts. I would probably use them on a new build if using the stock subframe. Did use the Holley pan.

Holley owns Hooker so I believe headers are basically the same. The Dynatechs give great clearance on the drivers side and steering box but do hang a little low. I installed them on a 69 with 2" drop springs and ground clearance is ok. A friend of mine used Dynatech on his 70 and was real happy so we thought we'd give them a try.

I plan on building another LS 1st gen soon. Most likely will use all Holley swap stuff including the front drive.
