Please Read my Plugs

These are replaced after maybe 2,500 miles. What does their appearance say? R45 heat range.

Re: Please Read my Plugs

Your on the rich side.

I can't see the curve on the gnd strap to tell where you timing is.

Those look wet and definitely on the rich side. Insulator tip looks OK. Fuel smell? Mine were the same way and had to dial back the timing a bit.

Re: Please Read my Plugs

Another photo from the other side and what I replaced these with. Thanks for the input thus far. I really don't notice any fuel smell. I've in the past set the fuel air ratio with the vacuum method and think I have it pretty close. I don't mind doing it again.

Dial back timing will be turn distributor slightly clockwise. Correct?

I watched the long drawn out video. It does present some good information.

Re: Please Read my Plugs

Not enough timing, the color on the strap is in the middle and should be at the curve. Set the timing to 36* total or if you don't have a back dial light 12*-14* initial. Jet down leaner.
