327 with Smog Pump

Good day. I am at the point in my restoration to install the smog pump system. Just trying to make it original to honor my Dad, just the way he bought it in 67. However, I had to replace the intake during the rebuild and the only way I can mount the smog pump, that I can tell, is upside down. This is due to the placement of the heater core hose out of the intake. On the bottom of the smog pump appears to be some sort of breather hole or drain for any particulate that my leak. Anyone know if the "breather" hole inverted will cause problems? Thanks.

Re: 327 with Smog Pump

One more question. I can't find details on the three hose fittings on the back. Can someone tell me which hose goes to which inlet/outlet?

That hole is the pressure relief valve.

Re: 327 with Smog Pump

Thanks for the information. I upgraded from a 2bbl to 4bbl during the rebuild. Any suggestions on where to find the correct air cleaner for a Holley 4bbl? My old one had two tubes in the bottom. I believe one fed the rear crankcase tube (hole behind distributer) and the second tube went to the smog pump.
