Starter heat wash

I'm hoping someone can tell me where I can purchase a heat blanket that goes over my starter/solenoid to prevent it from overheating. I have a blanket on there now but it's time to replace it. I've searched all the typical sites but all I can seem to find are the heat shields and not blankets. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Re: Starter heat wash

Never used one in my life and have had 1st Gens in the desert heat since I was a kid in 69.

I believe the heat soak problems are directly associated with poor quality starters and substandard rebuilds.

Re: Starter heat wash

I used this one after I installed new headers and the heat soak problem started. No issues since

A HD armature in a starter is never a problem.
