Proper P/N for Rochester Quadarajet for an early produced SS350

My Camaro book says "7037213" for a 350 w/manual trans and A.I.R.
except my ss350 was built in the 3rd week of Nov 66,,,,

I don't think it has the original carb on it as it has a date code of '68 on the body and no "disc"

Read THIS. The Chevrolet Part Number was 7035323, but for the early cars the ID number was 7037203.

7035323 was chevy's part #, 7037203 DY is Rochesters Part # . This was for an early build which yours should be. Good luck finding one. I had to settle for one built for an automatic. It is the same minus the last digit of the part#. Found it for $20 at a swap meet.

Re: Proper P/N for Rochester Quadarajet for an early produced SS350

The 4th digit is suppse to be for the year,,if my car was built in Nov of '66 why would it have a "7" in the 7037203?
shouldn't it have "6" for 1966?? I guess that's what I'm getting hung up on

Read my link above. THAT'S what you're supposed to have; a 7037203. And the 7 is for the MODEL year, not the year it was manufactured.

Re: Proper P/N for Rochester Quadarajet for an early produced SS350

If it's helpful, my Nov 66 L30 M20 with smog has a (0)7037213 without a date disc. Below the 07037213 stamp is a Julian date stamp of 3162. I believe this to be a service replacement carb, but I'm not sure.

Re: Proper P/N for Rochester Quadarajet for an early produced SS350

Thanks for the pic! YES! I have noticed that this era of carbs has no disc,,although I was under the impression it was suppose to have one,,I have seen other '66 dated rQuadrajets with no disc,,very strang, I thought they were
suppose to have one,,oh well

The one currently on my Nov 66 built one owner SS350 is a 7028210 EE which I believe is suppose to be for a BB engine,,,,I need to ask the owner if he replaced the carb
he was a GM tech back in 66/67 and he told me he went to the Rochester carb school several times and he could rebuild them no problem, so perhaps he
put a different one on sometime during its life

It is. It's dated the 316th day (Saturday, November 11th) of 1972. (And yes, that's a Saturday. Rochester did work Saturdays if there was a great demand.)

Re: Proper P/N for Rochester Quadarajet for an early produced SS350

That's a 1968 Full Size, Chevelle and Camaro big block carb. The date code may be on the base plate (driver side toward the back on the side of the base plate). Of course, if the carb's ever been rebuilt, and the base plate replaced, it may not have a date code.
