Alternator brackets big block passenger side shot water pump Help!

Trying to sort out everything still on my Big Block swap. I can't seem to find how to get the early alternator bracket for the passenger side with a short water pump... I seen some after market stuff with aluminum wacky designs that really isn't me but really want to get the correct bracket or a reproduction or something close to what the correct one looks like. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Alternator brackets big block passenger side shot water pump Help!

The alternators were mounted on the drivers side in the cars with short water pumps. I'm not aware of any alternators mounted on the passenger side of the car when using a SWP.

They were some early corvettes and chevelles that had this setup. The picture above is a big block vette engine. The reason I need this my car has the retro AC compressor on the driver side. I need to have the alternator on the passenger side. I can't understand what is so hard about this... is just a bracket and the alternator looks right in that spot and functions correctly as well.

Someone has been feeding you some very dubious information. The picture you are showing Googles to be for a 63-65 327 Corvette, not a big block. If you look closely at the exhaust manifold you will be able to see it is a small block. Call Crane Corvette, LINK , 800 -597-4132. They are probably the most knowledgeable and overpriced Corvette supplier out there. If they can't find it for you, or aren't willing to sell one to you, that Corvette part doesn't exist.

The only reason someone would want insurance is if they want to pay someone elses bills or want someone else to pay their bills.

I know these aren't original but I have the alt mount for my sbc and they are well made.
