1969 camaro Gen 1 327 RPM

What should my RPM be at idle in Park and in gear?

Auto trans or manual? Per the factory the rpms are a little lower for an auto in gear, but they are all around 600-800. Now with the ethanol fuel issues, you have to just keep adjusting it to what the engine likes. If anything has changed (dist, cam, carb, etc) will throw off the rpms from the factory specs.

What you are looking for is to get engine to idle with lowest rpm (without stalling) using the mixture screws and timing and have the throttle plates closed. Its really a trial and error type deal.

700 rpm. That would be normal in that range once the engine has warmed up.
