new 4 brl carb & kick down problem

swapped from the 2 brl Rodchester to Edelbrock 4 brl.

The kick down rod does not have enough adjustment to extend the kick down rod connected to carburetor to allow full throttle open. The linkage of the kick down stops before full throttle. Blades only open 3/4 full

Accelerator linkage is no problem

I need about 1/4" to 1/2" more

Is there a longer rod available (slotted in front & threaded in rear)?

Re: new 4 brl carb & kick down problem

...on further review apparently the kick down rod is 2 brl and 4 brl specific. The later being 2" longer (14") than the 2 brl (12")

I assume I can drive by just manually shifting down to low till the new one arrives

True, 4-bbl vs 2-bbl linkage are different in length.
No, WOT upshift is controlled by linkage, partial throttle upshift is controlled by intake vacuum and vacuum modulator.
Trans will shift fine without kickdown hooked up.
