Starter Wiring Question - Bracket ID

Simple question; I've ordered and installed a new engine wiring harness for my 69 Camaro. My question is; There is the metal bracket that is attached to the wiring down near the starter positive and negative wires. Is this used as mounting bracket or something else? Any insight is appreciated. If it's used to secure the wiring, any insight into where it should be used? My old wiring didnt have this bracket. Thanks.

I can post a picture if needed but I'm guessing you guys know what I'm referring too...

Post a everyone is on the same page.

There is a very small bolt bracket that affixes to the bellhousing that secures the starter wiring harness to the back of the engine. There is also another bracket that goes around the starter solenoid.

Re: Starter Wiring Question - Bracket ID

I think one of my SBC's has that, I have it mounted under the head of the outer starter bolt.
