Throttle rod to cable conversion

Can someone tell me who makes a throttle rod to throttle cable conversion kit? I'd like to convert to a cable setup. I have a '68 with a 327 and Edelbrock #1406 carb 600 cfm.

Thanks

Re: Throttle rod to cable conversion

You could probably use the 6 cylinder pedal. Ive done it with LS1 conversions.

Re: Throttle rod to cable conversion

Lokar has a cable pedal system. Kind of hard to change with motor in the car but can be done. Replaces the whole pedal assembly.

Re: Throttle rod to cable conversion

I think they went to the cable sometime in the early 70s on most GM cars. You might cruise the junk yards and get a complete setup (cable, bell crank, pedal and all), but it might be easier if you just order the Lokar system. You are in tight work space either way.

Re: Throttle rod to cable conversion

I have a 67 with a 327 and Holley, and the factory rod setup is still intact. The solid rod I have is adjustable, so perhaps this is the solution if you decided to keep a solid rod arrangement.

Re: Throttle rod to cable conversion

You will need the Lokar cable even with the factory six cylinder pedal. The six cylinder pedal will give you a stock appearance.
