Oil filters ????

I notice WIX makes the 51061 w/21 microns / 51061R w/61 microns ... Which would you think to be better? IMO, I would think the higher the micron the better, right?

Re: Oil filters ????

your will receive many replies as to what filter is best, GOOD LUCK .
I been using fram for 50 years on race engines and normal vehicles and have never had a problem
fram saved my $17K race engine when the cam broke
I have a 77 blazer with a 400 engine that has close to 200K miles and used nothing but fram filters
you will hear how no good fram is I am sure of that
what I posted is my experience and I will stand by fram

Re: Oil filters ????

Yes, the smaller the micron rating, the better the filtration. That "R" filter is for racing and not recommended for street use.
