Re: Lq4

What exactly are your plans for the engine ? Strictly street ? Strictly race ?? What kind of car, what trans, what gears etc etc etc etc. Camshaft is probably your most important decision and without knowing exactly what you are doing with the engine you rally cannot pick a cam.

What fuel injection and ignition do you plan on using ?

Re: Lq4

Car will be pretty much street. Will have the prostreet look. Just asking to see if anyone can suggest cam, trans, and the rest of the parts for the engine.

500 RWHP is hard to get NA with an LQ4 as you will need to build an engine that is close to 600 hp at the crank. At 30 over its a 370 ci engine. Will need approx 11:1 compression. The stock LS3 intake is best unless you run a big cowl hood and can go with a High ram intake. Will need a very aggressive cam which will affect street-ability with the auto trans. The correct TC will be critical.

Re: Lq4

How much of the rest of the engine do you have? Oil pump, pan, barbell, harness, controller, are the heads rectangular or cathedral, .. the list of what you havent mentioned is long. Automatic or manual? Go to Cam Motions web page and look at their Titan series of cams, read the application data and see where you fit in.
