When I purchased my car from the original owner he had a box of AC45 spark plugs in the trunk which he claimed were the ones that that came from the factory. So I purchased a couple fo boxes of AC45 NOS ones for the future and immediate tune up
I ran across a chart the other day that stated my car was suppose to have AC44 plugs in it.
Does anyone know the answer? whats the difference in these plugs?
Thanks!
Like Kevin's book the 1967 Chassis Service Manual says your 295hp 350 uses AC44 as standard and AC43 if you need a colder plug. If your engine is stock compression, timing etc you might want to run the hotter AC45 to make up for the difference in today's fuel compared to the fuel in '67 when Chevy wrote the spec's...
If you have increased the stock 10.25 compression the 44 would be my choice. Another variable is timing so if you are running more advance you'll want the colder plug as well.
Excellent, thanks guys, Engine is all stock so I will stay with the AC45,,,
