has anyone had any experience with this carburetor spacer Product Description
1" over all height Aluminum Super Sucker Carb Spacer for 4150 Carbs with 1/2" of Spacer in Manifold. Raises carburetor 1/2" from intake manifold. Great on 604 Crates, SPEC head?Spec intake combo and any engine needing more TORQUE!
After i removed my Victor JR. and went back to the RPM air gap I added a 1” super sucker to get a little more plenum volume, I’m at 6300/6500rpm pretty regularly at autocross. And I also used it to tap an extra vacuum port since my Holley ultra XP has none.
I was just going by what the ad stated (any engine needing more TORQUE!) i don't need more top end. i have no idea what it is now . but i have seen the speed indicator point to the left hand turn signal in 3rd gear my wife will attest to this
What intake you running ?
If your running an open plenum victor, the 1/2” tapered 4 hole MAY help signal at your carb, helping low end.
I went back and forth swapping manifolds and efi/carb with my cnc’d port matched Victor and my hand worked RPM air gap.
The dual plane is noticeably better at torque, and pulls to 6500. Which works best for me at autocross.
Straight up full throttle drag. Then the Victor.
