good question vega, by the way I had one of those too high 10's vega gts im building from a roller 67 no motor or trans but rust proof and solid, was thinking a 4bolt sbc with the Muncie 4 speed just got a wild hair for a 250 6cyl
Aftermarket support for 6cyl is limited. A sbc with a 5 speed will get better mileage than a 6 and 3 speed if you’re think fuel economy. You’ll need frame stands from as well as motor mounts. Check classic industries.
There is nothing wrong with inline sixes and I think it's great that you want to do something different. I would also check out the Inliners Forum and Stovebolt Forum.
