Your local auto parts store should be able to answer and supply you with the proper mounts.

If I may ask why do you want to go from an SBC to a 6 cyl.?

Re: wanting to use a 250 6 cyl

good question vega, by the way I had one of those too high 10's vega gts im building from a roller 67 no motor or trans but rust proof and solid, was thinking a 4bolt sbc with the Muncie 4 speed just got a wild hair for a 250 6cyl

Aftermarket support for 6cyl is limited. A sbc with a 5 speed will get better mileage than a 6 and 3 speed if you’re think fuel economy. You’ll need frame stands from as well as motor mounts. Check classic industries.

1968 that started life and a 6 banger with a PG. Now it's a 350 with a TKO600, Moser 12 bolt, Speedtech LCA/UCA, ATS Tall Spindles, Hotchkis Springs, Forgeline ZX3P, C5 (Kore3) brakes with other cool stuff from Ron Davis, Vintage Air and soon to be Terminator EFI.

Re: wanting to use a 250 6 cyl

I think if i were to decide to retrofit a 6 i would look real hard at/for one of those poncho ohc engines.

67RSSS......owned since 69. A basket case for most of it.

There is nothing wrong with inline sixes and I think it's great that you want to do something different. I would also check out the Inliners Forum and Stovebolt Forum.
