Re: What HP does this Cam have???

I think your asking "how much hp does this cam add?". Well, it all depends...it depends on what you are comparing it to and it depends on the rest of the combo. Do you by chance have the part number for the cam?

Re: What HP does this Cam have???

If you go to www.shopcranecams.com you will find the Blue Racer cams. As far as what HP increase you're going to see, you didn't even tell us what engine it's in. A big cam in an otherwise stock engine can often be worse instead of better.

Should be Crane/WBR's PN WG-1079. Spec's are;

292/232/300/234, 108/106, .488" lift hy-cam.

Imho, a hy-cam like that needs a minimum of at least 11 to 1 CR to run like it should!

That's a big cam in a SB unless it is a 400 or 406 motor!

And I have a Melling 292/230, 109/107, 480" lift hy-cam in my about 9.5 to 1 CR. 406 and it was doggy until I was up at least 25 to 3000 rpm!! (WBR's PN WG-1011)..

But once I was "up on the pipe" as the 2-stroke guys say, it ran fine even with my M-20, 3.31's and 26.5 tall, L-60 tires...
