Help with HP estimate?

The SBC in my 69 was built by the previous owner and has less than 3K miles on and I would like to get an estimate as to the HP/TQ the motor produces. I am guessing it would fall in the 375HP-390HP range. Here is what I know about the motor:

1. 350 4 bolt main bored .030" over out of a 74? pickup
2. Block was decked .010" and aligned honed
3. Cast crank w/ new reconditioned rods and forged TRW 10:1 flat top pistons
4. Dart Sportmans II heads with stainless steel valves, 72cc chambers and 200cc intake runners
5. Competition Cams rollertip rockers arms 1.5
6. One of the following Lunati Bracketmaster II cams (he couldn't remember which one):
Adv. Duration: 292/292
Gross Lift: .480''/.480''
RPM Range: 2000-6000
- OR -
Adv. Duration: 285/285
Gross Lift: .455''/.455''
RPM Range: 2000-6000

7. Edelbrock Performer intake
8. Holley 750 w/ vacuum secondaries
9. Hooker ceramic coated headers
10. DUI HEI w/ vacuum advance

Any help on estimates woud be appreciated. Depending upon where the numbers fall there may be another post on the most cost effective way to get some more HP/TQ out of the motor.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Help with HP estimate?

Can someone recommend a good software program, preferably free, to calculate the HP/TQ of my motor?

Re: Help with HP estimate?

I get about 350 hp and 400 ft/lbs of torque SAE corrected using Virtual Engine Dyno with the bigger cam, and 340 hp with the smaller cam.

Thanks for the help. I guess its time for bigger cam and maybe a different manifold? I would like to get the motor up into the 400-450HP range.

Re: Help with HP estimate?

I would not bank on the accuracy of Virtual Engine Dyno... maybe someone with Desktop Dyno can offer a comparison.

I think its the heads. According to VED, a chance to 64cc Vortec heads ups to 370hp, and additionally running a 1094 head gasket to further increase compression takes it to right at 400 HP.

Also, a "performance" port job on those World heads will take it to right at 400 HP

Again, though, its just a software sim...
