Pressure testing cooling system, how long should it hold pressure?
I borrowed a pressure tester to test my coolant system. I have been doing a frame off, and installed new heater core, hoses, rebuilt my engine etc. I want to check for leaks before I install the front clip.
My question is after I pump the system up, how long should it hold pressure, and how much pressure loss would be considered normal? This tester didn't have any instructions with it.

It depends, if the engine is warm 1 psi drop every 3 minutes is considered ok (the pressure will drop as the coolant cools) if the engine is cold then it should hold for 10 mins or more.
