Re: 366 motor

366 is a truck engine 2 ton and up.They make torque down low 1500 to 3000 rpms.I rode in a 68 convert. with one in it once it was a pig.A 283 would have blistered it.If you can find a 454 block you can use the crank and rods to build a 427.The crank and rods are the same as a 396 or 402.

Smile Re: 366 motor

Save the heads b/c even if they have 1.84" or 1.94"/1.66" valves in them, you SHOULD be able to cut them out and install regular sized valves in them fine b/c the basic ports are the same size!

Just the seats weren't cut for bigger valves is all..

UNLESS they are peanut port, -236 heads that have intake ports that are wider than they are tall! Start with better heads to begin with then...

(Peanut Ports are like 200 cc's or so up to about 230 max.)....
