2601 Edelbrock

Has anyone installed a 2601 Performer Air-Gap Edelbrock on a 350 / 300HP with a Cowl Hood? The old clearance question.

Thanks Dave

Re: 2601 Edelbrock

Cleared my cowl hood and sealed well.. Had problems with upper alt bracket not fitting.

Re: 2601 Edelbrock

If you set the air gap and the performer rpm side by side and line them up they are basically the same height. Should be no problem whatsoever.

I have a flat hood, Vic Jr. intake, drop base 3"tall air cleaner, and about 3/4" clearance.

Re: 2601 Edelbrock

The manifold side by side is the same with in 1/4 " ,, its the mounting position of the upper alt bracket from water pump to thermostat bolt mount hole that I had problems with... I made an adjustment bracket out of an older bracket but it does not look hi tech... so I got a low mount from Mach people that came with a kool adjustment jack rod.
