balance flywheel

My new clutch has a different bolt pattern so I must drill 3 new holes in the flywheel ( already resurfaced )
I'm a machinist and can take this to work and place the bolt circle in the right spot so that part is no problem.
What I need to know is should the flywheel be rebalanced after I'm done ?

Re: balance flywheel

Your new holes will be evenly positioned around the axis, then you will not be altering the balance. Naturally, all the holes will be of identical diameter so an even amount of material is removed from each hole.
The existing holes and your new holes will have a "neutral" or no effect on the flywheel's balance.

We always balance the flywheel after its been resurfaced and once the flyweel is balamced we put the pressure plate on a balance that as well and index the pressure plate to flywheel so they are assembled in the same spot and where your drilling new holes this should be done.
