Anyone have pics of shorty headers on small block

I am looking for shorty headers for my 69 Camaro. I have PS 4speed, no a/c. I would be interested in the looks of the shorty style on Camaros.

Thanks

Re: Anyone have pics of shorty headers on small block

I have some bare pictures (no fenders or hood) of my 350SB with Thorely 376Y1C ( I think it was) headers. I love them. They fit better than any header I've seen on a 1st gen. If you're interested send me a message by clicking on my user ID.

Re: Anyone have pics of shorty headers on small block

I coulda had those pictures today but,, the Sanderson cc5ho headers would not clear my stock starter,,, so da went back and just called Thorley for the 376y1c that this board said were the headers for first gen 4 speed cars, I shoulda listened. Be in 3 days the man said .

Re: Anyone have pics of shorty headers on small block

Be carefull with your choice on shorty headers with a manual trans, Thorley's may work fine (I don't know) but many/most others do not.

Only two that I know of that work well are the Thorleys Tri and Hooker 2451 and 2131 but problem with Hookers is that the drivers side hangs lower than right, Why? Chemosabe.

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about but the Thorley and Hooker part#'s above are not "shortie" headers.

Re: Anyone have pics of shorty headers on small block

Correct , they are not shortys' , just thought I would throw that in there as I just sent my sanderson shorties back , Somehow they redesigned them and will not clear stock starters... New and Improved.

Cool Re: Anyone have pics of shorty headers on small block

Shorty headers usually do NOT fit with manual shift cars. The Z-bar is right in the way of where the exhaust outlet travels.

Re: Anyone have pics of shorty headers on small block

Motorhead, Glad you said that as I did not even try to fit my left side for fear of scratching up coating. The CC10 Sanderson would probably fit a Camaro but I did not use them on that car,, They went on a Trifive and fit well,,, I got hold of the CC5HO and pass side tube hit my starter solenoid so wrap it up and back they go... 376Y1C Thorley's will be here Thursday. Got my Hookers 2451 up for Ebay shortly.
