Exclamation any advice???

i bought a new crate motor just got it installed did the cam breakin period(let run for 30 min) but the weather is gettin cold here would it be terribly bad to keep the car in storage for the winter and break in the motor in the spring..i do have it in a garage

I can't see any harm in letting it sit for the winter. Maybe drain gas from carb (assuming carb), or run it again for a while with something like "Sta-Bil" in the gas. Make sure it ain't gonna freeze, disconnect battery and you should be all set in Spring.

thanks wasnt sure but just didnt want to damage new motor im soooo ****ed i havent tried it out yet lol just so excited to see what 425hp will do to my 17 torq thrust wheels lol

Where are you, Alaska?? Don't let a little cold weather stop you..unless the roads are snowy....take it for spin and try it out. It's a long winter......

If the highs are above freezing, there's no problen with running your new motor,..heck,..new motors run warm, so it may be a good thing. Use a good 10-30 and go.

Try breaking one in here in Texas, in August,..many nervous looks to the temp guage.
