Can anyone ID this cam?

I bought a rebuilt 454 and the guy I dealt with was the father of the guy who built it, the guy who built it is in Iraq or something. He couldnt give me the specs on the cam. This is exactly what he wrote:

"Its a hi performance howard ground , hydraulic cam adjustment on cam is 3/4
turn."

So i had to pull the timming cover off and find out for my self. This is what was on the end of the cam. Nothing on the front only on the back side.

292
Americam-11 The second "1" was VERY faint, so I dont know if it's part of it or just a mistake.
B(M) the "m" was in a circle.

Any info would be appreciated. It might be easier to just buy a new one that I know the specs of.

Re: Can anyone ID this cam?

Well, even though the cam didnt say howards anywhere on it, I gave them a call. They said, if it was thier's it'd say howards on it. So with that, has anyone heard of AMERICAM? It's possible it said AMERICAN, it was hard to see, but eitherway the guy at howards hadnt heard of either. So, unless someone has any idea on this thing, I'll just get a new one I suppose... I'm assuming the 292 has something to do with the duration, but it doesnt tell me much more...

Thanks,
A

Re: Can anyone ID this cam?

If you can ID the cam, any grinder local to you should be able to install it on a "cam doctor" and give you a thorough print-out of it's specs.
