Question 383 stroker

i have a 96' camaro ss lt1 and i want to 383 stroke it. is there any major mods i will have to do, or is it basically take the stock parts out and put the new ones in?

You may have to clearance the bottom of the cylinders and run a small base circle cam as we just dynoed a 383 two weeks ago for a customer.

There's a lot to be done. For starters, you'll need to bore the cylinders .30 over. The other relatively major issue is you're computer. You'll need an edit program. Trans and rear end won't hold up to a stroker either so you'll need to go through them as well.
Quite a few guys at z28 dot com have done it. This site is more for the 1st gens. Good luck!
