Locking out timing...

I have been thinking of locking out the timing, due to the re-curve kit I installed, and been messing with to see what the motor wants. I've tried all combos of springs and can't get to where I was with the worn out HEI parts I had. I've tried with and without vacuum advance.... what are your thoughts ?

I have been thinking of locking out the timing,
Only in Race mode. It will work but on a street car you will benifit much more from properly working dist.

with the worn out HEI parts I had.
Id say scrape a little savings together and purchase a new distributor. Just my .02 cents

It may be that the wear in the shaft and other areas is preventing consistant results causing you to "chase" your problem.
