Well I finally got new wires
some of you guys may remember waaaay back I was having plug wire problems? the header was melting a plug boot.....I thought I had fixed it, but it started mis- and backfiring again, and I thought it was fuel mixture, until sunday when I dicided to pull the boot again....it had burned through on the bottom and I guess arcing(I guess wht I couldn't see the arc this time, it was hidden) so I tired a quick fix beucae I hadn't ran it for a few weeks and it was very nice out so I wanted to get everything moving some more and a few extra drives before winter hits, 3 miles down, it does it again, I pop the hood and so much has melting this time I can see teh arc in daylight with clear skies.....I run back home on 7 cylinders and pull the wire....it goes to pieces in my hands. I can confirm what you all told me months ago, the Accel wires that came on it are junk!
I ordered some black MSD 8.5 Super Conductors and a JEG's plug boot sleeve(good for 1500 degrees) and they will behere wednesday.....
got the MSD's also becuase I was also sick of the HORRIBLE radio interference, was trying to listen to college football one day and and about went deaf form high pitched interference, the MSD's are supposed to have 1 1/10 the resistance anyway of the mere 15 dollar cheaper accel's....so just SAY NO TO ACCEL!
Oh and my move went well, love the new house and bimmer's doing pretty good too. still no PC at my house so thats why I haven't stopped by much.
