Click, click with motor...

Well after dealing with my overheating I took it to a shop today and found out the 2 of the cores were plugged and 2 tanks had cracks. So thats getting fixed. I hear a lot of tick, tick, tick now. The mech. working on my car said they think it might be a blown head gasket. Sounds like lifters to me. (Not much lift on my cam though 414ish) There is no smoke coming out my exhaust so I am pretty sure that my heads and block are fine. I was only at 240/50 degrees for a few mins. I have a built motor. What damange do you think I did to my motor to make it click or is this something that is normal for our 1st Gen cars. I might be just looking for problems.

Re: Click, click with motor...

Start with a compression test. That will reveal a lot.
