Fuel Pressure

More ???....

I have a fuel pressure guage under the hood of the car. At idle it reads 3psi. That sounds insane low to me. The spark plugs were check and they are good. Is this normal for these type of cars? I am used to a LOT more FP at idle.
Thanks,
Jon

Re: Fuel Pressure

Jon,
You have the blown car with dual carbs correct? 3psi seems a bit low to me too. What kind of fuel system does it have? Mechanical pump or electric? Does the fuel pressure increase with RPM?

Re: Fuel Pressure

2 holley 495s. Not sure since its under the hood. I will have the rev it up on monday when the new fan is installed. I do have an elec. fuel pump cause I use a button to man. turn it on before I start the car. Might have to check for a regualtor.
