Post 750 cfm 4-barrel Rochester QJet 7028213

I have a stock 327 that has a 750 cfm 4-barrel Rochester QJet 7028213 carb on it. Would I better off upgrading to a newer carb like a holly street avenger or would I be wasting my money?

You will hear - both ways. I'd say " get it tuned properly" and spend your money elsewhere !

69 Camaro -originally a LM1 car. 327, Edelbrock E-streets, hooker, DUI performance distributors, ultradyne cam, stewart, TRW etc. Vintage Air, AGR steering, Corbeau GTSII seats, 700R4 transmission, 12-bolt w/Eaton 4.11:1

I used to run Q-jet carbs on small-blocks and big-blocks. It's a great carb, provided you tweak it properly. Not quite as easy to tune as a Holley, but for a moderately built engine, the Q-jet works very nicely.

I say, keep the Q-jet.

Plus, the Q-jet helps maintain a factory look..................

Stock 327 don't even think about changing to anything else. I had a 340 HP 327 that I took the 3721 AFB off and put a Q-jet on. It flat ran better.
