70 cowl air cleaner

well, my father is alomst done with his 70 camao, and for xmas he wants a cowl air cleaner assembly for a 70 camaro. The problem is 70 didn't come with a cowl hood, so is it a safe assumption that a unit of a 69 would work? I"m not worried about the maechanical stuff (solenoids etc.). He just wants the lower air cleaner piece with the rubber seal.
Any suggestions?

thanks,

Jeff

Re: 70 cowl air cleaner

I am not sure about the clearance problems you would have. There are spacers that can adjust the height. I would think the 69 unit would work.
