How much $ for a rebuildable distributor?

Just wondering what I should expect to pay for a good rebuildable points type distributor for my 69. I'm looking for something to send to Dave Ray to be converted to an HEI.

Free if you shop around. I have junked many of them myself. I don't think I have any more out there now.

I bought one at a end of the year swap meet for $5.00, you should be able to get one for less than $15.00

I'd send you one of mine but it would proubably cost you more to pay for shipping.

Re: How much $ for a rebuildable distributor?

Local parts houses usually sell them for under $40.00.

I usually get them at the swap meets for $10 for no special numbers or if I get lucky with a greasy one

Re: How much $ for a rebuildable distributor?

The local parts store sells a bare-bones rebuilt distributor for about $32 bucks. The local hispanic junk yard wanted $25 for one that had been laying in the mud and ran over with a front end loader a couple times. Look around and I'm sure you'll find a deal. Tap into the local swap-meet scene in your area. Check the classifieds on this server. If worse comes to worse, Dave may be able to scrounge one up for you.
