headers for lowered camaro

Hello, I am planning on buying the headman elite headers for my 67 camaro.
The car has been lowered 2", so ground clearance is going to be an issue. It has a 350 with power steering, and a auto. trans. Has anyone had any experience with these or could you give another susggestion. Thanks for the
help.

Re: headers for lowered camaro

My '67 has a Hotchkis dropped front set up and I run Hooker long tubes with no problems. Although going over speed bumps too fast scares me. Ather than that.

Re: headers for lowered camaro

Lemons Headers in Paso Robles, CA did a custom equal lenth long tube headers for my car. 1 7/8 primaries to a 3" collector. Absolutly beautiful. I'm also running the DSE short sub-frame mounts. The headers cannot be scene from the side profile of the car. Click on my sig to see the stance.

Re: headers for lowered camaro

i had regular $120 Hedman Hedders on my Nova, and they were only about 1/2" lower than the lowest part of the frame.
after 3 years on the car, they didn't have a scratch on them- and that car hel actual real world "daily driver" status from about the end of April to the end of October every year, and got taken over speed bumps and rough roads on a regular basis.

you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.

wanna hear about 20 years ago when i was too smart to know any better?

Re: headers for lowered camaro

Smith, there is another current post on this issue with headers and Hedman. Hookers do hang down on driver side. Thorley is the only one that I find that did not have any fitment issues. Be sure to check the applications as there is one for AT and MT cars.

Re: headers for lowered camaro

I've got Thorley headers also (367Y1-C I think). I have no doubt they'll fit like a glove. AC boxes and manual transmission applications are they only things that would give me doubts. I can send you some photos if you like. Those suckers fit like a glove.

Re: headers for lowered camaro

I have a series of photos from all angles of the Thorley 376Y1's. Post an email and I can send them.
