ARP intake bolts

I have set stainless steel ARP intake bolts that will not stay tight as they keep loosening-up. They come with flat washers but maybe some type of locking washer would be better? Has anyone else experienced this problem before? Its very annoying to have keep retorqing em. Any input welcome.

Question Re: ARP intake bolts

I have this EXACT same issue with the car I just bought, several of the intake bolts were loose, and oil was coming out of two of them! I took out those two, put a dab of permatex on them, and retorqued them down. Haven't started it back up yet to check the oil leak, but will later today, wanted to give it 24 hours to dry! Is this a common occurrence with these ARP fasteners????

Re: ARP intake bolts

Loctite and Permatex both make thread locking compounds that will solve your issues.
