Question Starting engine after long hibernation...

Hey Guys,
I'm getting ready to start the engine in my '69 after sitting for about 5 years. It's a 327 with a Holley 4 barrel and an M-20 trans. The car has been garaged in California for the entire time. I'm planning on having the fuel tank restored and replacing the fuel lines. What else should I do to bring her back to life?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Starting engine after long hibernation...

Probably not a bad idea to pull the distributer and prime the oil pump (after having added new oil of course). In addition to the fuel tank and lines you might also want to empty any scum out of the carb.

- '68 Chevy Camaro (sort of done, but always subject to improvement)
- '63 Pontiac Tempest (work in progress)
- '72 Datsun 240-Z (back-burner for now)
