Recommendation for HEI Coil

I pulled my distributor apart to updgrade to an adj vacuum adv from Crane. During this operation I took the coil out to check it's condition. It's original, probably 70's era and not looking too great. The car ran very well last summer, no skips or hiccups. I am toying with the idea of the Accel brute thunder coil or the Hypertech coil system. I want to keep the coil in cap setup. Has anyone used these with any great results? They both claim higher voltage, etc. etc. than stock. I'm not expecting a 15 hp gain or any at all. Is it worth the extra money? Should I just get a stock replacment? Thanks.

Here's a nice little upgrade package from MSD. It includes a new Cap & Rotor, Coil and Module. MSD-8501 -You can look this up at Summit Racing or Jegs.

I believe RickD was just selling that exact same kit not long ago.
