They're building convertibles!

Our dealer has been sitting on our order for the past couple of months because the convertible is not ready to build yet,,,, until two days ago! Ours went in as soon as the system started to show prices for the options. Shortly after that it was confirmed with zone.
Our new 16 Camaro convertible:
2SS
Magnetic ride control
Performance exhaust
Navigation
Suede knee pads
Black interior and roof.
Color: Red
Pearl Rally stripes
Blackout tail panel to match my 69. (new option)
Not available yet is ground effects.
Oh: cargo net.
Delivery is in 6-8 weeks.
And,,,,, are you ready?,,,, Costco is the real dealer! We get their DISCOUNT when the car arrives!

Re: They're building convertibles!

Seemed silly huh? These cars come with both passenger and driver resting-spots for knees. Suede is just a way to suck cash out of the owner. Another way is the $359.00 lighted footwell. We didn't bite on that one.
Oh, forgot. Also: 8 speed auto trans.

Fred, congratulations on the 2016 convertible! I wonder if you have the record for years between original Camaro ownership? Cheers and enjoy, Fred

I saw suede knee pads and wondered the same thing. Just figured they were how you raised your position on the list.....

Re: They're building convertibles!

Sounds cool. How much before and after the Costco discount? Bet it was more than my XTS, but much cooler. Still have my fully loaded 99 Z Vert that cost a whopping $32K with ground effects, Black on Tan.

Re: They're building convertibles!

The Costco plan pricing won't be known until the car arrives. Then the paperwork is applied to their system because the plan is designed for 'on the lot' cars. But this car is one of their eligible units.
Did you guys know that Costco is the biggest car dealer in the country?

You should see if they'd throw a 75 lb. box of Cheerios in the trunk.
