amp gauge in console

hey ppl,

my console with gauges has the amp gauge connector that can be installed two ways... which is correct? in the pic the black wire with the white stripe is closest to the floor. is this correct?

That is correct. That's the way mine is done. I just got mine together last week. It's working just fine.

Where does that go?

yellow wire is low fuel module wire that connects to light in dash to make it flash when the module reads the tank is getting low, usually less than 1/4 tank it starts to flicker. Soon as the tank empties, it stays on solid red. A double check of fuel level since the guage is at times hard to see.

There should be a tab sticking out of the lower terminal that fits in a slot of the connector for the BLK/WHT terminal. That allows the connector to go on one way only.

I connected this black wire to ground. Could that cause odd problems with the fuel gauge and temperature gauges? When I turn on the headlights, the fuel gauge goes to empty and the temperature gauge maxes out.
