stuck tach

the tach on my 79 is stuck between 1500 and 2500 and it bounces when i rev the motor

I think, IMHO,They have a technical name for the situation of your tach," its broke".If your engine isnt running your tach should drop to 0. Time for a new tach me thinks.

who is the manufacturer of the tach?
sunpro tachs just die with no warning lol.

i own a 79 to and if i were u i would go to autozone and pick up a cheap little sunpro tach for the time being heck i have 1 for my 350 it works fine (though i think im going to get a autometer tach soon want my old tach lol!)
