Re: Kenwood KRC-3006 source?

I have the -3006. It works fine but mine uses an external amplifier. If you want to have fader control with an external amplifier an external fader will also be needed. There is only one set of RCA outputs. I mounted the changer, amplifier, and fader/eq. under the package tray.

If you have an MP3 player an adapter is available that plugs into the changer socket. It works well.

Thumbs up Re: Kenwood KRC-3006 source?

I also have the 3006 radio. I am using an mp3 adapter (kenwood #CA-C2AX) to hook my ipod through it, works great. I have an amp setup similiar to CarlC. I was pondering whether I was going to cut my dash for a DIN radio but the kenwood adapter allowed me to use the MP3 player without upgrading my radio.

I have an original 3006 as well. I hope it never breaks for good, irreplaceable IMO.
