my front side markers lights stay on.

when i connect my batt up, the horns chirp and the markers lights go on. key off and all switches off!

now when i disconnect my horn wire from the horn relay.(the wire from the horn button) baaammmm! side markers go out....

so the marker lights are getting there power from the horn relay throught the horn groung wire..

Re: side marker lights always on

Aftermarket alarm system? If so, it may need resetting.

Otherwise, if 1st Gen car, horns are the green wire from relay. Horn button is black wire. Side markers are the brown wire (supply) and black wire (return). So the two black wires may be crossed.

well i looked and the two black wires cannot be crossed. the return for the lights has a connector that grounds to the rad support. the other black wire(horn) has a connector that connects to the horn relay. two totally different connectors.

i still feel that the lights are getting there power from the horn relay. well they have to since the only wire connected to the batt goes to the horn relay......motor insnt in the car....no batt cables.
