charging

should the volt reg itself be grounded? mine is rubber mounted.........

yes theres a wire from the back of voltage regulator to ground

Use a star washer and ground the voltage regulator black ground wire to the radiator support.

67 RS Camaro 327/ 350 Holley 650cfm > Edelbrock Performer Intake > Pertronix Ignition > Accel Super Stock Coil and Wires > Hedman Hedders > Hotchkis Performance Springs > 15" Rallys all around

yup!!! i measured it and had 55 ohms to ground..

i grounded the volt reg body and now i'm charging!!!!!

thanks guys......why did they rubber mount it? to remove vibration from the points in the reg?

You're close, but the other way around, to remove external vibrations from upsetting the regulator.

yes thats kinda what i meant... to eliminate vibration from getting to the points...

i can see how i mis-represented my wording.......
