alarm question

I am about to order a Viper 5002 alarm
but I also want to add power door locks
I just cant find any install info
Will a 2 wire door lock actuator work with this alarm
these are the actuators I am looking at right now

and does anyone know if the viper alarm comes with install instructions?

Thanks
Jon

oh by the way this is all for my 67 Firebird

Re: alarm question

I can tell you that the Viper systems do come with instructions. My 19yr old installed one in his RX7 last year. He had some weird issues with it where it involved unlocking the doors. I can't recall if he had to change, modify, or just fix his driver side door locking mechanism. And then at some point, he couldn't get his car to start, several months after he installed it, and he had to disconnect something....some feature it was able to perform, but not on his car. LOL, I know that's not very descriptive, but it's all I know. I know that ultimately, he's still glad he got it.

Re: alarm question

not starting is a good thing, as long as I am not the one trying to start it at the time

LOL, good point. But yeah, it was the owner trying to start his own car . He worked PT at Best Buy before starting college, and he got it for like, half price of the normal cost to the public. If I can remember to ask him about the glitch thing, I will when I speak with next.

EDIT: Just talked with him. He said it was a relay diagram that he had the first issue with. He said as long as you know the wiring in the 1st gen...you'd be okay. The other glitch was a faulty soldering job with the ignition wire/kill switch. He said it'd be easier to do after you got your electric door locks in, and PW, if you're going to add them. The Viper can/will roll windows down, unlock doors, start car etc...
