Re: Temp Sending Unit Problems

I have used an adapter many times for senders that are different size from the opening. Gauges always worked fine

Re: Temp Sending Unit Problems

You really don't want an adapter that "goes down" in size. It would have to stick out several inches, and the head of the sender would be far away from flowing coolant.

How much is the resistance of the sender you found off?

I'd say try it and see how it works. This is a question that has come up a bunch of times, and I don't ever recall seeing a full and satisfactory answer. If that sender proves to be one, I'd love to include the info in the electrical sticky's.
