Re: steering column wiring schematic

Check the stickies at the top of the forum, there are PDF color wiring diagrams you can download, but you'll need to send the Moderator a private message for the key. The column diagrams may or may not be there - the factory diagrams excluded the details inside the column.

Re: steering column wiring schematic

We are having some trouble with wires 'E', 'F', and 'G'. They are on the column in a 10 pin connector called C210.
I think 'E' is a ground, no idea what 'F' is for (?maybe key buzzer?), and I think 'G' is the horn. (Not ohming as it should as of now)

If someone can tell us for sure what these are it would be a huge help!

I have all of this forums schematics and the assy manual. I'll keep searching after my late dinner.

Thanks
ChrisP

Re: steering column wiring schematic

guess I needed some dinner in me...Because E is a ground, F is the key minder(buzzer), and G is the horn wire.
Horn wasn't working (using continuity on meter) because the pin that rides the contact was missing and/or the contact was dirty.

What that means is the connector on the 1st gen is the same as the connector on the 4th gen column. all wires corespond in the same place. although 1 or 2 of them may be a different color.

Now who wants a non-tilt column? (mine is getting replaced by a 4th gen.)
