No brake lights,no tail lights, have blinkers

I'm not a wiring guy...my car has been completely re-wired and all worked perfect before I sent it to the body shop for painting.Got blinkers no tail or brake lights...whats the deal.I called a guy I know and he says it sounds like I"ve lost the ground.Does that sound right? Where is the ground for this circuit how do I test this, track it down and fix it.The guy who wired the car is out of town for a while so need some help.I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to wiring...its just not my thing i'm totally comfortable with so...!

Pat, what's your car? First gen Camaro? Then pop the trunk, look against the drivers quarter panel for a wiring harness. It may have fallen into the well behind the tire. Pull it up and check for a separated plug. Good luck. But you probably won't need it.
