Wire from nowhere

In the process of getting my camaro started and there are 2 wires coming from the starter, one goes to the wiring harness and the other one goes nowhere. It was cut and is very short, barely goes past the exhaust, it is black with red stripe (not sure if that's original). The car starts but I don't know where this wire should connect to. Any ideas out here?

Re: Wire from nowhere

That would not be original.

The starter wires would include the big red one, a pretty big purple wire with a white stripe to the inner terminal on the solenoid, this is the one that starts the car, and a yellow wire that runs from the outer terminal on the solenoid to the pos terminal on the coil.
